Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal (WICET) is a company established by existing and potential coal producers to develop a new coal export terminal at Wiggins Island in the Port of Gladstone. WICET will own and develop the Project as agreed with the State of Queensland and Gladstone Ports Corporation. The first stage of the Project is planned for 25Mtpa. General Manager, Project Development

The General Manager, Project Development is accountable for the delivery of the Project on site utilising a PCM contractor. The role includes leading the owner’s Project team to ensure that the new terminal is designed, engineered, constructed and commissioned on schedule to the desired standards and within budget.

Reporting to the Project Director, specific responsibilities include:

• implementation of a HSEC risk management system;

• delivery of the project within time, cost, quality, safety and environmental criteria;

• managing the PCM contract;

• Project planning and monitoring;

• accurate and timely reporting; and

• cost control and budgeting.

The role of General Manager, Project Development requires successful experience in managing the construction and delivery of large scale multi-disciplinary projects. Tertiary qualifications in engineering and / or project management will be well-regarded. Personal qualities will include effective leadership skills with a focus on safety and relationship management.
